Ps 75:1; 40:5,16; 145:9-11, 13, 16-18

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.

The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.

They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

Section I

( 1) I Chron 29:11

Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

( 2) Ps 104:24,30

O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

( 3) Ps 33:4,6,9

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

( 4) Ps 118:1,27 (to :)

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light:

( 5) Is 64:4

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

( 6) Heb 11:3

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

( 1) 331:11

V. The Scriptures imply that God is All-in-all. From this it follows that nothing possesses reality nor existence except the divine Mind and His ideas. The Scriptures also declare that God is Spirit. Therefore in Spirit all is harmony, and there can be no discord; all is Life, and there is no death. Everything in God's universe expresses Him.

( 2) 513:7-10

To material sense, this divine universe is dim and distant, gray in the sombre hues of twilight; but anon the veil is lifted, and the scene shifts into light.

( 3) 479:21-23

In the vast forever, in the Science and truth of being, the only facts are Spirit and its innumerable creations.

( 4) 207:27-31

The spiritual reality is the scientific fact in all things. The spiritual fact, repeated in the action of man and the whole universe, is harmonious and is the ideal of Truth. Spiritual facts are not inverted; the opposite discord, which bears no resemblance to spirituality, is not real.

( 5) 472:24-25 All

All reality is in God and His creation, harmonious and eternal.

( 6) 264:28

When we learn the way in Christian Science and recognize man's spiritual being, we shall behold and understand God's creation, all the glories of earth and heaven and man.

Section II

( 7) Ps 85:11,12 (to ;)

Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good;

( 8) Ps 139:17,18

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

( 9) Gen 28:10-13, 15,16

And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.

( 7) 513:26-27

God creates all forms of reality. His thoughts are spiritual realities.

( 8) 298:2-10,13-15,20

Life, Truth, and Love are the realities of divine Science. They dawn in faith and glow full-orbed in spiritual understanding. As a cloud hides the sun it cannot extinguish, so false belief silences for a while the voice of immutable harmony, but false belief cannot destroy Science armed with faith, hope, and fruition.

What is termed material sense can report only a mortal temporary sense of things, whereas spiritual sense can bear witness only to Truth.

Spiritual sense, contradicting the material senses, involves intuition, hope, faith, understanding, fruition, reality.

Spiritual ideas, like numbers and notes, start from Principle, and admit no materialistic beliefs. Spiritual ideas lead up to their divine origin, God, and to the spiritual sense of being.

( 9) 174:9-14

The footsteps of thought, rising above material standpoints, are slow, and portend a long night to the traveller; but the angels of His presence the spiritual intuitions that tell us when "the night is far spent, the day is at hand" are our guardians in the gloom.

(10) 506:10

Through divine Science, Spirit, God, unites understanding to eternal harmony. The calm and exalted thought or spiritual apprehension is at peace. Thus the dawn of ideas goes on, forming each successive stage of progress.

Section III

(10) Job 34:4

Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

(11) Job 3:2,3,25

And Job spake, and said, Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

(12) Job 38:1 the, 2,4 (to ?), 33,36

the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?

Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?

(13) Job 40:10

Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.

(14) Job 42:1,2,5

Then Job answered the Lord, and said, I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

(11) 205:15

Befogged in error (the error of believing that matter can be intelligent for good or evil), we can catch clear glimpses of God only as the mists disperse, or as they melt into such thinness that we perceive the divine image in some word or deed which indicates the true idea, the supremacy and reality of good, the nothingness and unreality of evil.

(12) 494:19-29

Reason, rightly directed, serves to correct the errors of corporeal sense; but sin, sickness, and death will seem real (even as the experiences of the sleeping dream seem real) until the Science of man's eternal harmony breaks their illusion with the unbroken reality of scientific being.

Which of these two theories concerning man are you ready to accept? One is the mortal testimony, changing, dying, unreal. The other is the eternal and real evidence, bearing Truth's signet, its lap piled high with immortal fruits.

(13) 480:31-2

As vapor melts before the sun, so evil would vanish before the reality of good. One must hide the other. How important, then, to choose good as the reality!

(14) 276:9,19

Man and his Maker are correlated in divine Science, and real consciousness is cognizant only of the things of God.

When we learn in Science how to be perfect even as our Father in heaven is perfect, thought is turned into new and healthy channels, towards the contemplation of things immortal and away from materiality to the Principle of the universe, including harmonious man.

(15) 516:21

Man and woman as coexistent and eternal with God forever reflect, in glorified quality, the infinite Father-Mother God.

Section IV

(15) Matt 9:35

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

(16) Matt 12:22,24-26 when, 28

Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

(17) Luke 17:20,21

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

(16) 476:28-5

When speaking of God's children, not the children of men, Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you;" that is, Truth and Love reign in the real man, showing that man in God's image is unfallen and eternal. Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick. Thus Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is intact, universal, and that man is pure and holy.

(17) 347:14

Christ, as the spiritual or true idea of God, comes now as of old, preaching the gospel to the poor, healing the sick, and casting out evils. Is it error which is restoring an essential element of Christianity, namely, apostolic, divine healing? No; it is the Science of Christianity which is restoring it, and is the light shining in darkness, which the darkness comprehends not.

(18) 122:1-7

The evidence of the physical senses often reverses the real Science of being, and so creates a reign of discord, assigning seeming power to sin, sickness, and death; but the great facts of Life, rightly understood, defeat this triad of errors, contradict their false witnesses, and reveal the kingdom of heaven, the actual reign of harmony on earth.

(19) 412:16-18,23

To prevent disease or to cure it, the power of Truth, of divine Spirit, must break the dream of the material senses.

Mentally insist that harmony is the fact, and that sickness is a temporal dream. Realize the presence of health and the fact of harmonious being, until the body corresponds with the normal conditions of health and harmony.

(20) 418:12-16,20

It must be clear to you that sickness is no more the reality of being than is sin. This mortal dream of sickness, sin, and death should cease through Christian Science. Then one disease would be as readily destroyed as another.

Truth is affirmative, and confers harmony. All metaphysical logic is inspired by this simple rule of Truth, which governs all reality. By the truthful arguments you employ, and especially by the spirit of Truth and Love which you entertain, you will heal the sick.

(21) 248:29

Let unselfishness, goodness, mercy, justice, health, holiness, love the kingdom of heaven reign within us, and sin, disease, and death will diminish until they finally disappear.

Section V

(18) Rom 11:33 (to 1st !)

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

(19) I Cor 2:9 Eye, 10

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

(20) Luke 4:14 (to :)

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee:

(21) Luke 5:1-6 (to :)

And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes:

(22) 129:22-24

We must look deep into realism instead of accepting only the outward sense of things.

(23) 262:9-14

We cannot fathom the nature and quality of God's creation by diving into the shallows of mortal belief. We must reverse our feeble flutterings our efforts to find life and truth in matter and rise above the testimony of the material senses, above the mortal to the immortal idea of God.

(24) 263:32-3

The fading forms of matter, the mortal body and material earth, are the fleeting concepts of the human mind. They have their day before the permanent facts and their perfection in Spirit appear.

(25) 264:7-10,13-20

Mortals must look beyond fading, finite forms, if they would gain the true sense of things. Where shall the gaze rest but in the unsearchable realm of Mind?

As mortals gain more correct views of God and man, multitudinous objects of creation, which before were invisible, will become visible. When we realize that Life is Spirit, never in nor of matter, this understanding will expand into self-completeness, finding all in God, good, and needing no other consciousness.

Spirit and its formations are the only realities of being.

(26) 353:16-17

All the real is eternal. Perfection underlies reality.

(27) 263:7-10

When mortal man blends his thoughts of existence with the spiritual and works only as God works, he will no longer grope in the dark and cling to earth because he has not tasted heaven.

Section VI

(22) Ezek 12:21-23, 28 There

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord God; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.

There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.

(23) Mark 1:14 Jesus, 15 (to :)

Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:

(24) John 4:35

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

(28) 93:7

"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation," said Paul.

(29) 242:9

There is but one way to heaven, harmony, and Christ in divine Science shows us this way. It is to know no other reality to have no other consciousness of life than good, God and His reflection, and to rise superior to the so-called pain and pleasure of the senses.

(30) 264:24

Spiritual living and blessedness are the only evidences, by which we can recognize true existence and feel the unspeakable peace which comes from an all-absorbing spiritual love.

(31) 550:12

The true sense of being and its eternal perfection should appear now, even as it will hereafter.

(32) 335:27-28

Reality is spiritual, harmonious, immutable, immortal, divine, eternal.
