Is 30:21

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Prov 2:6-11 the; 4:7,25,26; 3:5,6

the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Section I

( 1) Ps 147:5

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

( 2) Is 45:5 (to 1st :), 12 (to :), 13 (to :)

I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:

I have made the earth, and created man upon it:

I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways:

( 3) Ps 25:4,5

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

( 4) Job 32:8 there

there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

( 5) Rom 11:33 (to 1st !), 34,36 (to 1st .)

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever.

( 1) 6:5-6

God is not separate from the wisdom He bestows.

( 2) 275:17-24

No wisdom is wise but His wisdom; no truth is true, no love is lovely, no life is Life but the divine; no good is, but the good God bestows.

Divine metaphysics, as revealed to spiritual understanding, shows clearly that all is Mind, and that Mind is God, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, that is, all power, all presence, all Science. Hence all is in reality the manifestation of Mind.

( 3) 336:1-3,6-12,14-15

Mind is the I AM, or infinity. Mind never enters the finite. Intelligence never passes into non-intelligence, or matter.

The divine Ego, or individuality, is reflected in all spiritual individuality from the infinitesimal to the infinite.

XXII. Immortal man was and is God's image or idea, even the infinite expression of infinite Mind, and immortal man is coexistent and coeternal with that Mind.

The spiritual man's consciousness and individuality are reflections of God.

( 4) 505:16-17, 22-28

Spirit imparts the understanding which uplifts consciousness and leads into all truth.

Spiritual understanding unfolds Mind, Life, Truth, and Love, and demonstrates the divine sense, giving the spiritual proof of the universe in Christian Science.

This understanding is not intellectual, is not the result of scholarly attainments; it is the reality of all things brought to light.

( 5) 151:26

All that really exists is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal. The straight and narrow way is to see and acknowledge this fact, yield to this power, and follow the leadings of truth.

Section II

( 6) Prov 3:5,6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

( 7) Ex 6:13

And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

( 8) Ex 14:5 (to :), 7,10,13 (to :), 15,16 (to :), 21,22,30 (to ;)

And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled:

And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.

And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to-day:

And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it:

And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians;

( 9) Ex 15:20,21 (to ;)

And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously;

(10) Ps 20:7

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

( 6) 444:10

Step by step will those who trust Him find that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

( 7) 200:4

Moses advanced a nation to the worship of God in Spirit instead of matter, and illustrated the grand human capacities of being bestowed by immortal Mind.

( 8) 195:11

The point for each one to decide is, whether it is mortal mind or immortal Mind that is causative. We should forsake the basis of matter for metaphysical Science and its divine Principle.

( 9) 239:25-29

If action proceeds from the divine Mind, action is harmonious. If it comes from erring mortal mind, it is discordant and ends in sin, sickness, death. Those two opposite sources never mingle in fount or stream.

(10) 296:26

Mortal mind judges by the testimony of the material senses, until Science obliterates this false testimony. An improved belief is one step out of error, and aids in taking the next step and in understanding the situation in Christian Science.

(11) 478:24-27

From beginning to end, whatever is mortal is composed of material human beliefs and of nothing else. That only is real which reflects God.

(12) 106:7

God has endowed man with inalienable rights, among which are self-government, reason, and conscience. Man is properly self-governed only when he is guided rightly and governed by his Maker, divine Truth and Love.

Section III

(11) Dan 2:20 Blessed, 21 he giveth, 22

blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:

he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

(12) I Sam 9:3-6, 10,18-20 (to .)

And the asses of Kish Saul's father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses. And he passed through mount Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalisha, but they found them not: then they passed through the land of Shalim, and there they were not: and he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they found them not. And when they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return; lest my father leave caring for the asses, and take thought for us. And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go.

Then said Saul to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God was.

Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer's house is. And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to-day, and to-morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that is in thine heart. And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found.

(13) Matt 10:26 for

for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

(13) 485:4-5

Science declares that Mind, not matter, sees, hears, feels, speaks.

(14) 84:3-7,11-18,30-1

The ancient prophets gained their foresight from a spiritual, incorporeal standpoint, not by foreshadowing evil and mistaking fact for fiction, predicting the future from a groundwork of corporeality and human belief.

It is the prerogative of the ever-present, divine Mind, and of thought which is in rapport with this Mind, to know the past, the present, and the future.

Acquaintance with the Science of being enables us to commune more largely with the divine Mind, to foresee and foretell events which concern the universal welfare, to be divinely inspired, yea, to reach the range of fetterless Mind.

If this Science has been thoroughly learned and properly digested, we can know the truth more accurately than the astronomer can read the stars or calculate an eclipse.

(15) 264:7-15

Mortals must look beyond fading, finite forms, if they would gain the true sense of things. Where shall the gaze rest but in the unsearchable realm of Mind? We must look where we would walk, and we must act as possessing all power from Him in whom we have our being.

As mortals gain more correct views of God and man, multitudinous objects of creation, which before were invisible, will become visible.

(16) 298:22

Spiritual ideas lead up to their divine origin, God, and to the spiritual sense of being.

Section IV

(14) Ps 67:1,2

God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

(15) Mark 1:14-17 Jesus, 21,22,32,34 (to ;)

Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.

And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils;

(16) I Cor 2:16 who

who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

(17) 180:25

When man is governed by God, the ever-present Mind who understands all things, man knows that with God all things are possible. The only way to this living Truth, which heals the sick, is found in the Science of divine Mind as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus.

(18) 271:7-16, 26-29 (to 1st .)

Jesus instructed his disciples whereby to heal the sick through Mind instead of matter. He knew that the philosophy, Science, and proof of Christianity were in Truth, casting out all inharmony.

In Latin the word rendered disciple signifies student; and the word indicates that the power of healing was not a supernatural gift to those learners, but the result of their cultivated spiritual understanding of the divine Science, which their Master demonstrated by healing the sick and sinning.

Those, who are willing to leave their nets or to cast them on the right side for Truth, have the opportunity now, as aforetime, to learn and to practise Christian healing.

(19) 326:12

We must forsake the foundation of material systems, however time-honored, if we would gain the Christ as our only Saviour. Not partially, but fully, the great healer of mortal mind is the healer of the body.

(20) 145:8-13

The struggle for the recovery of invalids goes on, not between material methods, but between mortal minds and immortal Mind. The victory will be on the patient's side only as immortal Mind through Christ, Truth, subdues the human belief in disease.

(21) 149:28-29

Whatever guides thought spiritually benefits mind and body.

Section V

(17) Prov 18:10

The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

(18) Ps 12:5

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

(19) Ps 32:8

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

(20) Jer 29:11-13

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

(21) II Thess 3:1-3 brethren, 5

brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

(22) 232:7

Security for the claims of harmonious and eternal being is found only in divine Science.

(23) 571:18-19

Clad in the panoply of Love, human hatred cannot reach you.

(24) 469:13-17 The

The exterminator of error is the great truth that God, good, is the only Mind, and that the supposititious opposite of infinite Mind called devil or evil is not Mind, is not Truth, but error, without intelligence or reality.

(25) 225:25

The despotic tendencies, inherent in mortal mind and always germinating in new forms of tyranny, must be rooted out through the action of the divine Mind.

(26) 96:12-15, 31

This material world is even now becoming the arena for conflicting forces. On one side there will be discord and dismay; on the other side there will be Science and peace.

During this final conflict, wicked minds will endeavor to find means by which to accomplish more evil; but those who discern Christian Science will hold crime in check. They will aid in the ejection of error. They will maintain law and order, and cheerfully await the certainty of ultimate perfection.

(27) 254:10-12

When we wait patiently on God and seek Truth righteously, He directs our path.

Section VI

(22) Is 48:17

Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

(23) Is 30:21

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

(24) Phil 3:14,15

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

(25) Phil 2:5

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

(28) 458:25 The

The Christian Scientist wisely shapes his course, and is honest and consistent in following the leadings of divine Mind. He must prove, through living as well as healing and teaching, that Christ's way is the only one by which mortals are radically saved from sin and sickness.

(29) 407:24

Let the perfect model be present in your thoughts instead of its demoralized opposite. This spiritualization of thought lets in the light, and brings the divine Mind, Life not death, into your consciousness.

(30) 326:20-21

Working and praying with true motives, your Father will open the way.

(31) 467:13

Having no other gods, turning to no other but the one perfect Mind to guide him, man is the likeness of God, pure and eternal, having that Mind which was also in Christ.
